Holiday Weekend

Wow, I can't believe Memorial Day weekend is already here. I have been busy making signs. Kim wanted a couple of signs for prizes at Mandi's shower. I made a couple of signs for Pam to hold a drawing at her studio warming. Mandi gave me a list of signs to make for the wedding. That's what I have been working on the the last couple of days. The signs for the wine that they are having turned out really cute.
I got my napkins made from my embroidery class, now all I have to do is finish the placemats. I have them all cut out. I am also making my sister in law some statue of liberty napkins for her birthday. I think I will get started on that tomorrow.
The wedding is just around the corner. I still have to go shopping for a dress. I hate trying on clothes it's just so depressing.
The babies are 6 weeks old. I need to take some new pictures, and I guess we need to start advertising them.

Warm weather at last

Well we are finally having some warm sunny weather. Today Pam and I went to the high school plant sale. They are doing markdowns every week until school is out. We got some beautiful plants at some great prices. We also got plant fever. We went to 2 more greenhouses after the high school. I got a beautiful hanging basket at one and 3 rose bushes at the other. I'm so excited, one of the rose bushes will have dark purple roses, one will have lavender roses and the last one is a peace rose. I have never seen a dark purple rose before. I'm still looking for a Daphne bush. Anna has a beautiful one and they are so very fragrant. I found one for $40 but didn't want to pay that much for it. I will look around town tomorrow.
Well the babies are 5 weeks old now. Time flies when you're having fun. They are so dang cute I can hardly stand it. I'll have to figure out how to do the slide show so I can add that to my blog. I have a slideshow of them on my Tagged page. Well I hope everyone enjoys the nice weather, as for now I have a lot of planting to do. I also am going to make a couple of signs for my friend Pam's studio warming to raffle off to her guests.

Happy Birthday Mandi

Well today is Mandi's birthday. she is 26. Where does the time go? I don't think that I'm getting old until one of my kids have a birthday and then wow, where has the time gone. It goes by faster and faster.

Well yesterday my friend, Pam, and I took a quilt as you go table runner class. Well I hope she is still my friend since I talked her into taking the class. I'm very new to quilting, even though I have been sewing since the 7th grade. They didn't tell me when I signed up for the class that this pattern was one of the hardest and I don't think Pam has done quilt piecing or quilting. I had a good time and I think she did also. We didn't get our project finished but I'm to the point where I think I will be able to finish without much more help and I should be able to help Pam finish hers. The instructor was very nice and very helpful. I don't think she realized she would have quite a few beginners in her class. She said that she probably should have made it a 2 part class or had it go for longer than the 4 hours. Pam and I stayed for 5 hours. I can't wait until it's all finished. I think it will be really cute with the material that I picked out. I may change the backside color. I wasn't quite prepared for needing that big of piece of material and that was the only fabric that I had with me that was big enough, so I may change that part of it.

Happy May

Wow! I can't believe it is May 1st already. I just don't know where the time goes. There is only 57 days until Mandi's wedding. I finished her veil and it looks really cute, if I do say so myself. It's the first veil that I've made. I've got all the material cut and ready to go for making her garters.

The babies are now 3 weeks old. They are so cute and very cuddly. I get so attached to them that it is hard to let them go. I keep telling myself that I will be making someone very happy and they will have a very good companion. I guess I need a big ole farm out in the country so I could keep them all. The only part of that plan that would go over with Rick is moving out to the country, he always says 3 dogs are enough. I will post some new pictures of the babies soon.
